Marcon Fit-Out has signed up as one of the official sponsors of this year’s Northern Ireland Open at Galgorm Castle.
The stars of the fairways will make a welcome return to Ballymena this year at the province’s annual international tournament, taking place once more at Galgorm Castle from August 28-31.
Mark McElroy, Director, Marcon Fit-Out said; “We are delighted to sponsor the upcoming Northern Ireland Open at Galgorm Castle. The combination of top quality golf, along with the golf village and food festival makes it a day for all the family. It will be exciting to see some of our local talent go against some of the top international golfers. Being a local business we try as much as possible to support local events and we are really excited to be involved in this tournament.”
After record numbers attended last year’s event, this year promises to be a spectacular occasion for all the family with a designated food village in the grounds of the estate castle plus an interactive golf village behind the 18th.
Organisers have introduced a ’Food Festival’ to the 2014 Northern Ireland Open to ‘savour the culinary delights of the region’. The gourmet excellence theme will carry through to tournament week where suppliers, exhibitors and live demonstrations will showcase the very best of Northern Ireland produce within the designated food village at the castle.
The golf village will be another interactive spectacle for all the family with free golf lessons for the kids and sporting challenges for the ‘big kids’ too. Leading golf retailers and event partners will be present in the golf village with great deals, promotions and competitions throughout the week.
Christopher Brooke, Director Galgorm Castle, expressed his thanks to all concerned for making the event possible. “Special thanks must go to all our key sponsors and partners, without their support none of this would be possible. We enjoyed a wonderful event last year and will build on that as we look forward to staging the province’s standout professional tournament of the season once more.
Entry to the Northern Ireland Open is free all week, simply log on to www.niopen.co.uk and register for your free tickets. Over 30,000 tickets have already been registered for, which means the event is on track to be the first Challenge Tour event ever to be sold out. There is still time to register for tickets online.
