Excitement brews as Synge & Byrne open their flagship store at Blanchardstown shopping centre.

Synge & Byrne are an artisan coffee shop brand located throughout Ireland and serving up tasty food and baked goods.

Spanning an impressive 2600 sq. ft., this new location is set to become the blueprint for future store designs.

Marcon was proud to be appointed principal contractor for this ambitious project, which involved transforming three separate units into a single space. Working from concept designs by 3D2, Marcon developed the plans into fully functional drawings and delivered a seamless construction process.

The works included a complete strip-out, internal fit-out, and creation of a striking shopfront façade spanning two elevations. The interior combines back-of-house catering facilities with stylish front-of-house self-service counters, featuring tiled and timber finishes complemented by integrated LED lighting and an extensive custom joinery package, much of which was built on site. With nearly two-thirds of the ceiling exposed, the project required precise coordination of MEP services to ensure functionality and aesthetics.

Undertaking these works in a fully operational shopping centre required detailed planning to prioritize health and safety while minimizing disruption for the public, stakeholders and to centre daily operations.
