The North Face has opened its new store on Blackett Street in Newcastle Upon Tyne following a refurbishment and fit out completed by Marcon.
The five-story building spans over 6000 sqm. It offers a one-stop shopping experience ranging from The North Face’s outdoor performance wear to their lifestyle urban exploration collection.
The new store features different spaces depending on activity type and apparel needs. The layout has been designed in a way to better connect with customers by creating a location that feels more like the brand and less like a store. It incorporates digital LED walls, designed to create an immersive experience for guests for an enhanced shopping experience.
The 7-week programme incorporated strip out, reconfiguration works, full mechanical and electrical installations, extensive internal redecoration, feature lighting systems, new display units, together with branded signage and brand detailing throughout the store.
Limiting store closure time for the refurbishment works was of paramount importance. The fast track programme required robust project management and efficiency in decision making and delivery. This involved working closely with our supply chain, ensuring key dates and store launch were successfully achieved.
