Wear it Pink Day!
As October is Breast Cancer Awareness month the team at Marcon took part it ‘Wear it Pink’ Day.
This annual event helps to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Now to help support the amazing work they do to help those affected by breast cancer.
Around 55,000 women and 370 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK. A startling statistic.
Breast Cancer Now is the UKs largest breast cancer charity. Its declared “Action Plan” is “by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live”. Breast Cancer Now’s flagship fundraising event is their ‘wear it pink’ campaign. This is one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events having raised over £33 million since it launched in 2002.
The Marcon team got involved by donning their pink attire for the day and organised a cake sale and table quiz, raising £400 for this fantastic charity.
